Langfoss is one of our longest waterfalls, with a height difference of 612 meters throughout.

Langfoss, neither the highest or furthest

Langfoss is part of Vaula River and is neither our longest waterfall (Vinnufossen) or highest waterfall (Vøringsfossen). Despite this, Langfoss means long waterfall and is the 16 longest waterfall in Norway. The falls are easily accessible and flows under europavei134 (which runs from Drammen to Haugesund) and into Åkrafjorden. The waterfall was in 2011 named by CNN Budget Travel, voted one the world's ten most beautiful waterfalls.

How to get here?

The waterfall is located along the E134 in Etne municipality, 5 km west of Fjæra. The easiest way here is by by car, but you can use bus 801 to Eljarvik and walk from there.
